The 2023 installment of the WPT Prime Cambodia Main Event crowned a winner this week.
Japan's Reiji Kono topped the tournament field of 1,011 entrants to secure the first-place finish. Kono took home $131,731 for his effort. Included in that payout is a $10,400 WPT World Championship seat. A complete list of the final table players and payouts can be found below.
The final three competitors made an ICM-based deal at the final table to adjust the payouts. When heads-up play began, Kono was at a nearly two-to-one chip deficit but was able to close the gap quickly. Soon, Kono took a two-to-one advantage of his own and, from there, never looked back. The final hand of the tournament saw Kono on the right side of a cooler and that was that.
