First of four Day 1 flights begins at 1 pm Eastern Time Friday, Oct. 23
The culmination of the seven-week MoMoMoPKO Series begins Friday, as the "Biggest PKO in the history of poker" begins on the Winning Poker Network.
The $5 Million Guaranteed Venom PKO Main Event kicks off Friday with the first of four starting flights. Day 1A of the Venom PKO Main Event starts at 1 pm Eastern Time, as players get their first chance to advance in the progressive knockout tournament.
The four-day event comes at a $2,650 buy-in, and all survivors from the Day 1 flights move forward to Day 2 action on Nov. 2. Day 3 plays out the following day, and the final nine players from that day move on to the final table on Day 4, scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Other Day 1 flights include Day 1B (Sunday, Oct. 25), Day 1C (Friday, Oct. 30), and Day 1D (Sunday, Nov. 1). The first-place prize will award at least $1 million as the MoMoMoPKO series finishes with its biggest tournament.
The $2,650 Venom PKO Main Event marks the second time in three months for WPN to offer a multi-million-dollar prize pool in a Venom Main Event. The last time The Venom came around on WPN, the $7 million guaranteed prize pool was far surpassed, ending up at $9.68 million.
Both of the top two finishers came away with seven figure paydays in the $2,650 buy-in event. 'TRT-Vitor' took down the win for $1,394,821, while online tournament crusher Marty 'forrestranfar' Mathis finished second for $1,282,666.
Venom PKO Fever awarding nearly 300 seats through satellites
A series of satellite tournaments to the Venom PKO Main Event is in full swing. The satellite series, known as Venom PKO Fever, started Oct. 13 and runs all the way up until the start of the Day 1D flight on Nov. 1.
Still 11 days of Venom PKO Fever satellites remain, with at least four different satellite tournaments running each day. Price points for the Venom PKO Fever satellites range from $12 up to $880, and the Venom PKO Main Event will no doubt feature plenty of qualifiers who earned their way into the $5 million guaranteed event through a low-stakes qualifier.
MoMoMoPKO series concludes
The MoMoMo PKO Series featured a schedule that ran all tournaments as progressive knockout events. Leading up to the final week, the seven-week series offered a $1 million guaranteed PKO event each Sunday.
The sixth and final of those $1 million guaranteed events played out this past Sunday, Oct. 18. Player 'paralelogramo' took down the first-place prize and lion's share of the bounties, taking home $75,082 total (including $39,325 in bounties).
