I didn't think I'd be writing this sentence today: PokerStars is heading back to Las Vegas.
If you've been around for over a decade, you may remember the North American Poker Tour (NAPT). The first major live poker festival under the PokerStars name returns for the first time in 12 years, and they're wasting no time putting this one together.
Details are still few at this point, but we do know that the series will make its return at Resorts World Las Vegas from November 4th - 12th, 2023. That's right, we're just about nine weeks away from seeing a PokerStars event in the United States again.
Key event dates
While details are still coming together about the full event offering, PokerStars has already revealed some key dates for planning purposes.
- NAPT festival runs from November 4-12
- The $1,650 Main Event runs from November 6-11 with six starting flights
- There's a $5,300 High Roller Event that runs from November 10-12
- There will be a $550 PokerStars Cup from November 9-12
A partnership with Oracle Red Bull Racing is key
A likely driving factor for the chosen dates and location is PokerStars' partnership with Oracle Red Bull Racing. That team will be going for gold at the penultimate race on the F1 schedule in Las Vegas at the end of November.
If you're a poker fan or an F1 fan, it seems like Vegas is the place to be in November. And if you're both, PokerStars is happy to fill both needs at once.
They've promised to reveal more details in the near future. PokerStars dropped hints of multiple satellite and qualification routes for players, but also nuggets of hope for racing fans alike. We'll share more details when they're released.
We're excited to have the NAPT back in the mix, and we can't wait to see what more they have in store.
