Poker-content producer PokerGO has released the dates for the first three PokerGO Tour festivals of 2023, each of which will run during the first three months of the new year. The expanding tour, which regularly attracts the game's most famed and deepest-bankrolled players, is planning on 2023 being "PGT's best season yet."
The 2023 PGT begins on January 11, 2023 with the third edition of the PokerGO Cup. This 10-day series offers eight different high-roller events with buy-ins ranging from $10,000 to $50,000, with top finishers also earning leaderboard points that will decide the series' overall PokerGO Cup champion.
In February, the PokerGO Tour rolls out a new offering in the form of the inaugural PGT Mixed Games festival. This eight-day series runs February 4-11, 2023, and includes a variety of mixed-games events, with buy-ins ranging from $5,300 to $25,500:
- $10,300 H.O.R.S.E.
- $10,300 8-Game
- $10,300 Triple Stud Mix
- $10,300 Big Bet Mix
- $10,300 Triple Draw Mix
- $10,300 Dealer’s Choice
- $5,300 No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw
- $25,500 10-Game Championship
On February 2 and February 3, respectively, the PGT will also offer satellite qualifiers feeding into the opening H.O.R.S.E. and 8-Game events. These events will also award PGT leaderboard points, and an overall PGT Mixed Games champion will be crowned.
In March, it's all about pot-limit Omaha as another brand-new PGT series debuts. The PGT PLO series will run for nine days, March 11-19, 2023, and it will feature PLO events with buy-ins ranging from $2,200 to $25,000. An overall PLO series champion will also be honored.
“Home to poker’s elite players and most competitive high-stakes tournaments, the PGT saw tremendous growth in the tour’s second season, with total awarded prize money increasing more than 50% and total entries increasing nearly 40%,” said PokerGO President Mori Eskandani. “Furthermore, the PGT is awarding the biggest player-of-the-year prize in poker history in 2022. The tour’s plans for the 2023 season can be summed up by, ‘Go big, or go home,’ and we are confident that we have put together an incredible offering of events that will allow the PGT to grow even more.”
