Event #6 of the 2021 WSOP is the $25,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em 8-Handed tournament. This event started on October 2nd and was scheduled to run for three days. Players began the tournament with a starting stack of 150,000 chips, and each level ran for one hour.
The 2021 WSOP’s Event #6 saw some of the world's top players fighting for big money and a piece of WSOP wrist bling.
Players began the event with 150,000 in chips. Blinds were at 1,000-1,000 with a 1,000 big-blind ante. Blind levels were set at one hour, so play pacing was unhurried. Despite the relatively small field of 139 entries, the event made good use of all three days of scheduled play.
This event is new to the 2021 WSOP. The 2019 WSOP featured only one event with a $25,000 buy-in -- the $25,000 High Roller Pot Limit Omaha. The High Roller 8-Handed event in this year’s series is one of four tournaments going off at this price tag.
