Event #39 of the 2021 WSOP is the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha 8-Handed tournament. This three-day event started on October 20 with a starting stack of 25,000 chips. Blind levels began 40 minutes on Day 1 and go up to 60 minutes for Day 2 and Day 3.
The win went to Josh Arieh, giving him his third World Series of Poker bracelet. His last win before this one also came in PLO, the 2005 World Series of Poker $2,000 PLO event. Before that, he won a bracelet in the 1999 $3k Limit Holdem event.
The prize pool this time around hit $1,096,035, thanks to a field of 821 entries. There was just over $200k set aside for first, and second would get $127k. Along with bracelet #3, Arieh came away with $204,766 in WSOP cash.
Ismael Bojang came out on top of a field of 1,216 players in this event in 2019. Bojang won his first WSOP gold bracelet and the first-place prize of $298,507 out of a total prize pool of $1,641,600. This was Bojang’s 10th cash of the 2019 WSOP.
