Event #10 of the 2021 WSOP is the $1,000 Super Turbo Bounty Freezeout tournament. This No-Limit Holdem event has 20-minute levels and ran from start to finish in one day on October 5th. $300 from each player’s buy-in served as that player’s bounty during the event, rewarded to the player who eliminated them.

The 2021 WSOP Event #10 $1,000 Super Turbo Bounty Tournament began at 11am PST on Tuesday, October 5. It finished  16 hours later at 3am PST. The freezeout event pulled in 1,640 players, generating a prize pool of $1,408,870. Play was fast and furious for the duration, with blinds going up every 20 minutes. Michael Perrone held out longest after a long day of poker, bringing down his first WSOP bracelet, a first-place prize of $152,173, and additional money in bounties.

Every knockout in this event had a $300 bounty reward, taken from the prize pool for every entry. This tournament (along with many others during the 2021 WSOP) failed to get the same level of traction it got in 2019. The 2019 $1,000 Super Turbo Bounty event drew 2,452 unique entries. The WSOP Reunion event surpassed its $5 million guarantee in an early win for the series. However, the effects of COVID-19 fears, the vaccine requirement, and international travel issues have taken a costly toll on the numbers.

The $1000 Super Turbo Bounty tournament in 2019 drew a field of 2,452 entries and a prize pool of $22,068,000. Daniel Park was beaten down to his last chip at the final table before he roared back to win the event, scoring $226,243 and his first WSOP bracelet.
