There are so many heavy hitters in the poker content space nowadays. Doug Polk’s podcast series has provided us with a handful of great interviews this year. Poker vloggers like Andrew Neeme and Brad Owen continue to put out great videos of their cash game exploits. When you start getting into training sites, Twitch streams, and live game coverage, the list of awesome poker content available to poker fans today is a mile long.
And because that list is so long, it’s easy to lose track and accidentally miss some interesting videos along the way. Here are three channels worth checking out this week if you haven’t already.
Daniel Negreanu’s WSOP vlogs
This one is probably the most obvious inclusion on the list. Daniel Negreanu’s vlogs have become a staple of the World Series of Poker. Negreanu’s high volume of play, entertaining personality and willingness to wear his heart on his sleeve make his WSOP content must-see TV every year.
Even by the high standards already set by Negreanu’s regular vlogs, the vlog he posted on October 13 was, as he aptly titled it, epic. Negreanu takes us along for the ride as he goes to the Las Vegas Golden Knights season opener, proceeds to get extremely drunk, and then somehow runs up a massive stack in the 2021 WSOP Event #25 $5,000 6-Handed event. Shouting and slurring his words every step of the way. It’s comedy gold.

Phil Galfond’s new YouTube channel
Phil Galfond is not the standard high-octane, in-your-face content creator you’ll usually find on YouTube. On the contrary, he is soft-spoken and articulate, delivering his thoughts in a way that poker players at every skill level can learn from and appreciate.
Galfond’s brand new poker channel debuted last week and has already covered useful topics including dealing with downswings, playing aggressively, and never blaming the dealer for your bad luck. He also had an insightful chat with fellow poker pro Henry Kilbane in a podcast-style format.
On the occasions in the past that Galfond has let us into his mind through forum and blog posts, Twitter threads, streams, and interviews, he has always proven to be an incredible communicator. This channel gives him a new outlet to communicate with and is well worth a follow.

The return of Poker Out Loud
Solve For Why has been producing episodes of “Poker Out Loud” for almost two years now. For those that are unfamiliar with the show’s format, all of the players at the table are wearing noise-canceling headphones so they can’t hear their opponents. This gives the players the opportunity to explain all of their actions and thought processes for how they are going to play the hand. It’s a unique, entertaining, and educational show.
Poker Out Loud returned this week with an episode featuring a group of poker vloggers. Bet on Drew, Convolk, Greg Goes All In, Matt Vaughn, Poker Beast, and Ryan DePaulo play in the Poker Out Loud format in one of the funniest episodes of the series to date. It is also very interesting to watch these players with such different styles and skill sets talk us through their decisions.

Many poker players believe that the best era for poker is behind us, and that may be true. But with all of the high-production-value live-game streams, Twitch streamers, YouTube vloggers, and training sites available to us nowadays, we are definitely in the best era for poker content.
