Benjamin "Spraggy" Spragg won his second WCOOP title yesterday. Spraggy took down the WCOOP-83H-$1,050 PKO event live on his Twitch channel, beating a field of 343 entries.
Spraggy won his previous WCOOP title last year in the 2020 WCOOP-05-L: $5.50 NLHE. That event was an 8-Max Turbo with progressive knock-outs and no-rebuys. He won it on the first night of the 2020 WCOOP, starting that year's series off with a bang. Spraggy won $4,349 for his win. This time around he won a fair bit more.
The (now) two-time WCOOP champ won $67,968.51 for his first-place finish in yesterday's event. This was split between $30,484.16 for first-place and $37,484.35 in bounties.
He tweeted about his victory.
"THE TWO-TIME WCOOP CHAMPION!" Spraggy wrote on Twitter. "BROUGHT ONE HOME IN THE $1050 TURBO PKO! $67,969 FOR 1ST! ABSOLUTE LOSS FOR WORDS RIGHT NOW. THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO TUNES IN!. MAGIC!"

The final hand saw the pro-poker player and amateur chess streamer heads up against "Wildace_hun."
Spraggy found himself holding two-pair on a board of 4♠K♦️3❤️ with the 4♣3♠ in the hole. There was 2.8 million in chips in the pot and Spraggy had his opponent thoroughly covered with effective stacks of 11.5 million.
The turn came the T♠, putting a flush draw on the board as well as a second straight draw and another possible card to counterfeit his low pairs. It was a likely hand for all the chips to go in on.
Wildace_hun checked and Spraggy bet a little over 2 million into the pot.
"If they raise, we're gonna put it in," Spraggy told the stream. "It's a hand that's just gonna want to jam."
Wildace_hun called.
The turn came the J♦️ and Wildace_hun checked. Spraggy went into the tank. "Somewhat mediocre river," he announced before eventually shoving all-in.
Spraggy managed to hold his composure until Wildace_hun called and turned over the K♣2♠ for a single — losing — pair of kings.
"We won the f*cking WCOOP," Spraggy cries in a moment of sincere emotion. "We won the f*cking WCOOP. Oh my god! I'm a champion two times. Oh. My. God."
Realizing he may have let his stiff upper lip slip a tad, he tried to disperse the moment of sincerity with a quick gag.
"Parker, my boy, to in a day. Are we geniuses?" he asked, referring to Parker Talbot, his fellow PokerStars sponsored pro, who also took down a WCOOP title on the same day.
Wildace_hun made $30,484.10 for his second-place finish and took home an extra $13,437.51 in bounties.
