The World Series of Poker has released the complete schedule of stops for the upcoming 2022-23 WSOP Circuit series, with stops across the U.S. and several international destinations. The 2022-23 season begins even as the Las Vegas WSOP wraps up its closing events, with the July-to-May season beginning on July 20 with a 12-day visit to Choctaw Durant (OK), near Oklahoma's border with Texas.

It's the first time in recent years that the WSOP has been able to construct a full slate of stops, which had been somewhat curtailed since early 2020 and the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, WSOP is able to reveal only 25 of a planned 35 Circuit stops at this time, with the remainder to be announced in the weeks and months ahead. The need to receive final regulatory approvals is the most common reason for Circuit stops to not be officially announced, and the remaining 10 stops will be revealed in the weeks and months to come.

With 35 stops already announced or awaiting that final regulatory approval, the 2022-23 Circuit series will easily surpass the 2021-22 Circuit season's 21 stops. The WSOP has also confirmed that the "Millionaire Dollar Freeroll" introduced as a season-ending championship will return for 2022-23. The invite-only tournament of champions is open to any player who captures a Circuit ring at any stop during the upcoming season, with the giant freeroll to be held at some point during the 2023 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

Suburban Chicago's Grand Victoria to host first-ever WSOP-C stop

Every year, the WSOP Circuit tour manages to find a new venue or two that's willing to host the 12-day series. This year, that new venue is Elgin, Illinois's Grand Victoria Casino. The "Grand Vic", as it's widely referred to, recently expanded what was once a small cash-game-only poker room, and additional event space is available elsewhere in the riverboat casino just south of Elgin's downtown district.

Two other venues return to the WSOP-C roster after having been on hiatus as Circuit host stops in recent years. Those two venues are Harveys Lake Tahoe, in Stateline, Nevada, and Caesars Southern Indiana, in Elizabeth, IN, across the Ohio River from Louisville, Kentucky.

“The World Series of Poker is back with the Circuit returning in just short of a month,” said Ty Stewart, the WSOP's Senior Vice President and Executive Director. “With record breaking attendance so far this summer, we expect a huge response to the full-scale return of our regional mid stakes tour.”

The typical 12-day WSOP Circuit stop begins on a Thursday and wraps two Mondays later. The ring-event schedule, which includes at least 12 such events but occasionally has one or two more. The WSOP "encourages" but does not require that its Circuit host venue add unofficial Seniors and Ladies events, though an unfortunate side event in recent years has been fewer Ladies events and more Seniors, sometimes even two in a given series. All Circuit events also use the big-blind-ante format that has become a widespread innovation accepted throughout the live tourney world. All schedules and stops are subject to change or cancellation.

Here is the current WSOP Circuit schedule for the 2022-23 season, with ten more stops to be added at later dates:
