Jeanne David is one of the better-known female poker players on the circuit. Residing in Las Vegas, David is famed for being an authority on mixed-game poker. As many poker pros will tell you, David is the go-to person for knowledge of all the best mixed-games across Vegas and beyond.
In fact, David would tell you that the best mixed game is the one she runs at the Orleans Casino, the Vegas H.O.R.S.E. League. This league awards entries to the WSOP for players at the top of the leaderboard after nine months of action.
David was previously employed by PokerStars as the operator’s Responsible Gaming Manager. With a Master’s Degree in Social Work – including a specialty in addiction – and a genuine passion for the game of poker, David was well-placed to recommend best practices for protecting the wellbeing of poker players online.
As one of the true icons for women in poker, David has enjoyed plenty of success at the tables. She’s won a string of popular H.O.R.S.E. tournaments in Las Vegas and managed to reach the final table in the $1,500 Razz event at WSOP 2018. She got even closer to winning a WSOP Circuit ring in 2018 in the $365 H.O.R.S.E. event, finishing fifth.
A quick glance at her tournament history demonstrates her passion for poker variants, with H.O.R.S.E., Omaha and Razz just some of the games in which she’s enjoyed success over the years.
David has since retired from her role with PokerStars, allowing her to focus on enjoying mixed-game events on the Vegas circuit.
