World Poker Tour Ambassadors Andrew Neeme and Brad Owen will host a pair of their popular meet-up games across April and May.
The first MUG takes place this Wednesday, April 19th. The game will run as part of the ongoing WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown.
The stakes are $2/$5 and the action kicks off at noon.
“We’re excited to run another MUG at the famous Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood,” Owen said. “Last November’s MUG at the Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open was a blast and we’re eager to bring back that hype to the Florida crowd for the upcoming SHRPS.”
The second MUG is on the schedule as part of the WPT Gardens Poker Championship in May. The stakes for this one take a jump up to $5/$5 and the action starts earlier, at 10:00AM.
“This will be our first MUG at Gardens Casino and we’re bringing the heat with some $5/$5 blinds,” said Neeme. “Brad and I are both looking forward to the beautiful California weather and some action-packed poker.”
Both WPT stops are likely to see large turnouts and, hopefully, packed rooms during the meet-up games. The SHRPS is currently running, with the Main Event scheduled for April 28th. Next month's stop at Gardens Casino sees the venue return to the WPT schedule for the first time since 2020.
WPT Prime India recap
Prasit Chowdhury was crowned champion in the ₹65,000 Main Event at WPT Prime India. Chowdhury, of India, took home ₹8,660,000 ($105,809) for his efforts aboard the Deltin Royale. In addition to the prize money, Chowdhury will receive a $10,400 seat in the 2023 WPT World Championship. The remaining top six finishers and payouts are below.
This year's WPT Prime India drew a field of 857 entrants stemming from the three starting flights. The total entries surpassed the previous WPT record for entries at the event. The prize pool for the event grew to ₹50,648,700, setting the all-time record for a live poker event in India.
