It's back. Super High Stakes Week returns to Hustler Casino Live with a full slate of nosebleed-stakes games and a big twist at the end.
As usual, HCL bosses Ryan Feldman and Nick Vertucci have put together a week's worth of exciting lineups, with a mix of regulars and newer players. And it culminates in a marathon 24-hour live stream on Friday featuring the man himself, Alan Keating.
Hustler regulars like Mariano, Charles Yu, Nik Airball, and Andy Stacks will all feature throughout the week. These are the guys that HCL fans know and love. They're the guys that show up week after week to gamble it up for your enjoyment. They'll be joined by a variety of VIPs, professionals, and big names.
Action kicks off with a bang
The action kicks off on Monday night with a $100/$200 game featuring one of the most talked-about players in recent memory: Martin Kabrhel. If you haven't seen Kahbrel on a televised table, do yourself a favor and watch tonight--he's one-of-a-kind entertainment on the felt.
Many will remember Kabrhel from his antics at this year's World Series of Poker, specifically at the final table of the $250,000 NLH Super High Roller. Kabrhel's behavior polarized the community; some thought he was pure entertainment, while others were talking about banning him from the series.
Santhosh Suvarna and The Professor, two recent additions to the HCL family of players, join Kabrhel on the felt tonight. Suvarna offers his own brand of entertainment to viewers, mostly in his gameplay. He's a fearless gambler, but knows how to handle himself at the table. Suvarna frequents the Triton tournament circuit stops and has found success there in the past.
The Professor arrived on the scene during the PLO week that HCL ran a few months back. He quickly became a fan favorite and his catchphrase--"THAT'S ME!"--has become a part of HCL lexicon. Expect to hear it several times throughout the week, regardless of whether or not he's at the table.
First 24-hour live stream
We've gotten used to some pretty epic streams, but Hustler Casino Live is billing the special on Friday as the "first 24-hour stream in poker history."
As well as the advertised line-up, there will be a list of players on standby ready to tag in, and, as the game goes longer and longer, those spots at the table will be highly sought-after.
Will any of the players make it through the full 24 hours? It's a tough ask, but we think at least a couple will make it through to earn the badge of honor. Will anyone last the full 24 hours and record a profit? Now that would be something.
We're expecting entertainment, but it's going to have to go some lengths to equal the other epic moments from past Hustler Casino Live streams, including the biggest pot in televised poker history, when Tom Dwan scooped $3.1 million in a hand against Welsey Fei.
Super High Stakes Week 3 kicks off tonight with cards in the air at 5 p.m. Pacific Time. You can watch all the action on the Hustler Casino Live YouTube channel.
