Fan-favorite tournament series goes all-online this week
With one of the largest and most loyal Twitch followings of any active poker streamer, Lex Veldhuis stands as one of the game’s most popular personalities in the modern era.
It comes as no surprise that the tournament festival bearing Veldhuis’ name persists as one of poker’s most popular series. That series returns this week at PokerStars.
Lex Not Live plays out on the PokerStars main client May 18-23. While the Lex Live festival began as a live tournament series in 2019, COVID-19 considerations pushed the 2020 version of the event to the online streets of PokerStars for the first time.
The aptly names Lex “Not” Live goes online for a second time this week, with the familiar structure of affordable tournament buy-ins intact. All 16 tournaments on the Lex Not Live II schedule offer entry fees between $11 and $55.

$200,000 guaranteed Main Event highlights Lex Not Live series
PokerStars players can find the Lex Not Live schedule under the “Events” tab at the top right of the PokerStars lobby. The series kicks off Tuesday with the first three of 16 events.
Satellite qualifiers to Lex Not Live events are already underway, however. The 16 tournaments cover an array of poker variants, including No-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha, 6+ Hold’em, 6-Card PLO, and PL Fusion.
One of the more interesting events on the schedule plays out on May 23. Event #14: No-Limit Hold’em/Pot-Limit Omaha, guarantees $40,000 for a $22 buy-in, and will unfold as one of two NLHE/PLO mixed-game events in the Lex Not Live circuit.
The series culminates in a $33 buy-in, $200,000 guaranteed Main Event, also on May 23. A $1 satellite qualifier to the Main Event starts just hours before the tournament, and that satellite already has nearly 1,000 entrants and more than 200 Main Event seats on the line.
The Main Event field will no doubt be packed with satellite entrants. Event #15 needs to hit 6,667 entries to meet the $200,000 guarantee, but the popularity of the Lex Live series makes the Main Event a good candidate to do just that.
Veldhuis also promises plenty of “community events” throughout the series as well, and this week should be a fun one for both players and virtual spectators alike at PokerStars.
