The next stop for the WSOP Circuit is the Horseshoe Casino Tunica in Mississippi.

The WSOPC Horseshoe Tunica series runs from Jan. 23 through Feb. 3. Players can look forward to 18 Ring Events, many of which offer guaranteed prize pools.

The biggest of those guarantees comes in the $1,700 Main Event, which runs from Jan. 31 through Feb. 3 and promises at least $500,000 in prize money.

The Tunica series hits the U.S. Southeast as the currently-running WSOPC Thunder Valley series dominates the Circuit headlines from Northern California.

Affordable buy-ins and many guarantees

The $1,700 Main Event plays with the largest buy-in of any event in the series. All other tournaments on the 18-event schedule come at buy-ins of $600 or less.

Guaranteed prize pools are the norm at the WSOPC Tunica series, with 15 of the 18 events promising guaranteed prize money.

Some of the highlights from the schedule include:

  • Jan. 23 - $400 No-Limit Hold'em 30K Opener ($25,000 GTD)
  • Jan. 24-26: $400 No-Limit Hold'em Mini Main ($100,000 GTD)
  • Jan. 27-29: $400 Monster Stack ($100,000 GTD)
  • Jan. 28-30: $600 Mystery Bounty ($100,000 GTD)
  • Jan. 30-Feb. 3: $1,700 No-Limit Hold'em Mini Main ($500,000 GTD)
  • Jan. 31: $300 Ladies Event

The closing day (Feb. 3) of the Tunica series includes the Main Event final table, as well as the one-day $400 Double Stack Closer No-Limit Hold'em for a final shot at a Circuit Ring in the series.

$500,000 Guaranteed Main Event

The WSOP Circuit Horseshoe Tunica Main event features a $1,700 buy-in and a $500,000 guarantee. The tournament offers two starting flights.

Day 1A begins at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 31, and Day 1B begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1. Players who survive one of those opening flights will come back for Day 2 action on Sunday, Feb. 2. The tournament is scheduled to play to a winner on Monday, Feb. 3.
