The World Series of Poker Circuit returns to the Chicagoland area this for 12 days of action at Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin from November 7-18, including a $1,700 Main Event with a $750,000 guarantee. The Main Event headlines a schedule that includes 19 rings and several six-figure guarantees.
Last time at Grand Victoria, Kevin Andriamahefa beat David Kowal in heads-up play to win the Main Event for his first career ring and $173K. The tournament drew 606 entries for a prize pool that tipped just over $198K.
Schedule highlights
The series kicks off on Thursday, Nov. 7 with a $400 Opener that starts at 11 am and guarantees $100K. Later that afternoon, the first flight of the $600 NLH begins with a $300K guarantee. The $600 NLH offers a total of four flights with two on Friday Nov. 8 and the final chance on Saturday. Surviving runners will return on Sunday to play down to a winner.
The Women's event runs on Saturday, as well, with a $400 buy-in. On Sunday, a $400 Seniors Event is on offer with a $100K guarantee.
Other highlights on the schedule include a $600 Mystery Bounty on Sunday, Nov. 10 and a $400 Monster Stack with three opening flights on Nov. 11-12. Mixed games will also be available with a $400 PLO on Tuesday, Nov. 12, a $400 PLO8 on Wednesday, Nov. 13, and a $400 Big O on Sunday, Nov. 17.
The $1,700 Main Event will run three flights from Nov. 14-16 at 11 am on each day. Surviving players will return on Nov. 17, the final Sunday of the series, to play down to a final table that will run on Monday.
