The tour of celebrities at the 2023 World Series of Poker continued on Friday with celebrity restaurateur Guy Fieri on hand to unveil the Main Event's championship bracelet. Fieri made a grand entrance into the Horseshoe Event Center to present the World Championship bracelet to the public.
Fieri unveiled the bracelet at the primary final table in the "Mothership," as it's come to be known, the feature-tables area designed for filming and broadcast of the largest WSOP events. Fieri was introduced by WSOP Vice President and quickly began a brief presentation on the bracelet before an extended photo opportunity ensured.
As in previous years, the 2023 Main Event bracelet is significantly larger and more jeweled than those given away in other bracelet events. As Fieri described it, the 2023 Main Event bracelet has "42 karats, over 2,300 stones... and this right here is going to go the big winner of 2023."
Fieri's choice as the guest presenter continues Caesars' and the WSOP's increasing move to cross-promote the WSOP with other amenities at Paris and Horseshoe. Last year, for example, another restaurateur, Lisa Vanderpump, was tabbed to do the series-opening "Shuffle up and deal!"
Vanderpump was chosen in 2022 due to the opening of her new restaurant in the Paris promenade of shops, and the same holds true with Fieri this time around.
With Fieri, the former Burger Brassiere near the Horseshoe end of the promenade has been remodeled and made into the venue's newest restaurant, Guy Fieri's Flavortown Sports Kitchen, hence the fancy corporate reveal. The new restaurant has been open just over a week and tonight hosts a special afterparty with a celebrity guest list.
