Wolfgang Poker is going gangbusters on YouTube.
Back in November 2023, our very own Sarah Herring interviewed him after he became the first poker influencer on YouTube to hit one million subscribers.
Now he's set his sights much higher. His most popular YouTube Short, featured above, has now smashed through 103 million views, making it – we think – the most watched poker YouTube short ever. Unless you know otherwise, we think this could even be the most watched piece of poker content.
We're used to huge numbers in the poker world. Just the other day, GGPoker announced its World Festival with $250 million in guarantees. But sometimes, you just have to stop and think.
We're living through a live poker boom, but 103 million views for a vlogger playing pocket jacks is wild. That's just under a third of the population of the USA. Every single person in the UK could watch this, and it would still be short by 40 million views.
And this isn't just one viral fluke. His second most popular Short has got 86 million views, and a Short of him playing a $14,000 pot with pocket aces has 38 million.
These are serious numbers for anyone on YouTube, let alone a poker creator. And it's all great for the game, with influencers like Wolfgang Poker responsible for reaching out to a much younger swathe of potential new players.
You can check out the rest of Wolfgang Poker's content on his YouTube channel and hear him talk about how he played poker in Antarctica in another PokerOrg interview with Sarah Herring.
