Slow Poker is not a needle, and Las Vegas poker rooms are not a haystack. This shouldn't last long, and it won't.
Want to play the NAPT Las Vegas Main Event for free? Be the first to find Slow Poker in Las Vegas on November 4, and he'll give you a free seat to the $5,300 Main Event at Resorts World.
Still sound too hard? Okay, we'll make it easier: Slow Poker has to play live poker in a Vegas or Vegas-area public poker room for at least six hours on November 4. That means he has to be in his seat getting dealt cards for six hours on one day. All you have to do is be on the lookout for him. If you spot him and follow the rules below, you'll be playing the NAPT Main Event the next day.
Runner Runner Reprise
A couple of years ago at this time, Slow Poker went running for three weeks on a cross-country jaunt of a similar nature. He proved to be just wily enough to play all over the USA without getting spotted. Here's a quick recap of how he handled it.
How to #GetSlow on November 4
This time, it seems hard to believe Slow Poker doesn't get popped in the first hour or two. First off, November 4 is a Monday, not some weekend summer day teeming with poker players on every wait list. Second, he can't leave the Las Vegas metro area, so his choices of places to play are relatively limited. Finally, he has to have his butt in a seat for at least six hours during that time period.
Yes, he can disguise himself, and you should expect him to do so. But honestly, this should be easy, especially since he'll be required to check in regularly on his social channels, and we'll be posting everything we know about him publicly in a live thread on this site.
Here's how you win.
- Get your Bounty Hunter ID card. Sign up here to get your ID.
- Find the Runner in Las Vegas on November 4. Slow Poker is required to be at a Las Vegas area poker table for six hours on that day.
- Begin a video recording with your phone. Get Slow Poker's attention and say, "How do you feel about rabbit hunting?"
- Get confirmation. If you have found Slow Poker, he will respond, “I’m fine with rabbit hunters, but I don’t like bounty hunters.”
- Identify yourself as a Bounty Hunter. Tell Slow Poker, "I'm a Bounty Hunter." He'll take it from there. He'll ask to see your Bounty Hunter ID Card and shoot a video with you.
After that, it's just a few quick formalities, and you'll be playing the NAPT Las Vegas Main Event the next day.
Full rules are below. Read them closely. For updates and more info, watch this site, The Org newsletter, and all of PokerOrg's social channels.
