On May 16, Risky Business — a new podcast co-hosted by Maria Konnikova and Nate Silver — debuts to audiences worldwide.
Both Konnikova and Silver are well-known entities within the poker community despite making their names in other ventures.
Konnikova rose to acclaim in the poker world as the author of The Biggest Bluff, a New York Times bestseller that detailed her experience jumping feet-first into poker having never played a hand. Since then, she's become a fixture on many poker tours and plays once again as a PokerStars Team Pro.
Silver left behind his online grinder days on partypoker and PokerStars to start FiveThirtyEight, a website focusing on opinion poll analysis, politics, economics, and sports. Now, having sold the project to ABC News, Silver has returned to playing poker regularly.
The much-anticipated project will reside under the podcasting umbrella of Malcolm Gladwell's Pushkin Industries. Risky Business will see Konnikova and Silver provide their unique points of view on several topics ranging from poker to politics, to business ventures, to psychology, and everything in between.
PokerOrg sat down with Konnikova and Silver to find out what audiences can expect from Risky Business, how the project came together with Pushkin, and much more -- check out the video above to hear all about it.
