It was the Mike Postle cheating allegations that first brought Veronica Brill to the attention of the wider poker world. Brill was the one who first flagged Postle’s suspicious play in the Stones Gambling Hall live-streamed poker games, and she has since gone on to present poker content including Poker After Dark and Hustler Casino Live's (HCL) Million Dollar Game and as co-host of the podcast The Nick Vertucci Show.
Her involvement with Nick Vertucci has thrust her firmly back in the public eye this week after Vertucci - co-owner and showrunner of the popular HCL stream - was accused of numerous instances of sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior with female staff and players. Vertucci has since apparently deleted his X and Instagram accounts.
It’s a situation Brill claims she did not see coming, given assurances Vertucci had given her in the past; assurances she is now confident were false. Brill offered up some screenshots to PokerOrg of her conversations with Vertucci earlier this week as the situation started developing - we’ve blurred some details to respect the privacy of those named.
Brill had said she was initially against speaking negatively about Vertucci in public and sharing screenshots, but given her new understanding of the situation, she has decided to go public.
To that end, and to give her side of the story, Brill joined PokerOrg’s Craig Tapscott for an exclusive, in-depth interview.
