The first match of Doug Polk's 'Code Doug' Challenge is set just one day after the streamer announced a goal of winning $100,000 on the brand-new ClubWPT Gold platform.
Polk — who also dropped a deposit code in the hard launch of a new affiliate deal with ClubWPT Gold — will face Lodge stream stalwart Jay 'JWIN' Nguyen on Wednesday, March 12 at high noon CT.
The matchup is the first of what is likely to be several high-profile duels for The Lodge Card Club's co-owner with players across the poker universe. A few hopefuls have already thrown their hat in the ring, including our very own Terrance Reid, who previously took his shot at Polk in a Lodge Live matchup in January.
Polk ups the ante
The announcement of the first match comes a few hours after Polk upped the ante with some side action.
"I want to get 3:1 on my 100k that I will win $100,000 starting the morning of March 3rd and ending at 11:59pm April 3rd," Polk said on X. Further stipulations were laid out:
- Polk can only play $3/6 HU on ClubWPT Gold ($1,200 buy-in)
- All hands must be streamed
- Polk can play whomever he wants.
- One table at a time.
- The games have rake (4%/$4 cap)
Polk will stream every public session and he plans on giving away "100% of the winnings from this challenge" — which anyone can get in on with his ClubWPT Gold code: DOUG. A website will soon be live with a calendar that will stay updated with scheduled matches.
