The Irish Poker Open returns from April 10-21, and a new promotion from event sponsor PokerStars will send a bunch of players over to Dublin to play several events as part of a ‘Shamrock Showdown’ team.
Six teams of six will compete for points across various Irish Open tournaments and non-poker challenges - rumored to include darts, lip-syncing and even a drag show - with dedicated spots on the teams allocated to members of each team captain’s fan community.
These team captains are:
- Ben ‘Spraggy’ Spragg (pictured above)
- Fintan Hand
- Caitlin Comeskey & Marle Spragg
- Sebastian Huber & Lasse ‘Wistern’ Jagd Lauritsen
- Parker ‘Tonkaaaa’ Talbot
- Felix Schneiders
Teams will also include Irish Open ambassadors and poker personalities. Each team captain will be awarding Emerald Passes to play the Irish Poker Open, as well as a place on their team, through their own social channels.
Any prizes on offer for the winning team are still to be announced.
