High rollers return to Jeju
Last winter's Triton SHRS produced a list of winners that reads like a Who's Who of the high roller tournament circuit.
Fedor Holz took down the series-opening $15,000 NLH event, adding a $786,000 score to his legendary resume. Adrian Mateos earned $1,175,000 with a win in the $30,000 NLH 8-Handed event.
The biggest buy-in tournament of the series came in the form of a $150,000 buy-in 8-Handed No-Limit Hold'em event. Elton Tsang topped the field in that tournament for $4,210,000.
Tsang came up just short of a win in the $100,000 Main Event two days later, settling for third place and $2,105,000. Roman Hrabec took the win in the Main for $4,330,000.
Other top finishers from the Main Event included Jean-Noel Thorel (2nd - $2,875,000) and Patrik Antonius (4th - $1,697,000).
The series finished with two of poker's best winning the final two events. Mikita Badziakouski won the $100,000 No-Limit Short Deck Hold'em Ante Only event for $1,153,000, while Stephen Chidwick came away with the victory in the series-closing $20,000 No-Limit Short Deck Hold'em Ante Only event for $265,000.
Big names and huge scores are the norm at the Triton Super High Roller, and the eyes of the poker world will no doubt be locked in on Jeju for the return of the series.
