Season 12 of High Stakes Poker has lived up to the show's iconic history with moments of magic sprinkled throughout the entire season. Andrew Robl and Santhosh Suvarna have been at the heart of many of these moments, both taking their own turns on the losing and winning sides of the equation.

The latest episode saw the $1,000/$2,000 game start afresh with each player buying in for the $500,000 minimum. Robl and Suvarna were joined once again by Nik "Airball" Arcot, Charles Yu, Brandon Adams, and Stanley Tang

The hand in question started, as many of the biggest pots on the show do, with a straddle - from Suvarna, $4,000 to go. With the action folded to him in the small blind, Robl opted to raise it up to $16,000 with . Adams let go of his big blind and Suvarna, looking down at , came in with a three-bet to $54,000. Robl joked with his opponent for a moment before making the call to see the flop.

Robl's gamble paid off as he flopped trips to leave his opponent with a slim path to a win -  only a perfect-perfect run out would save Suvarna. The only thing left for Robl to do was win the maximum from Suvarna. He started with a check, allowing Suvarna to fire out for $45,000. Robl's smooth call brought in the on the turn, pairing Suvarna and slightly widening his narrow route to victory. The turn went check check as Suvarna exercised restraint at the right time.

Occasionally, the perfect-perfect, fairytale film set run outs happen in real life and the river brought Suvarna's hand roaring back into the lead. Robl, confident in his hand, bet out $300,000 into the $202,000 pot. Suvarna, with only $395,000 in his stack, moved all-in over the top for the extra $95,000. Robl waited for the count, but it seemed as if his mind was made up and he put in the rest of the chips.

Suvarna showed the winner and scooped in the $992,000 pot - the biggest-ever scooped pot in High Stakes Poker history
