The record-breaking Irish Poker Open Main Event is down to its final day, with just one more session before a new champion is crowned. After three full days of action, the field is now set for Monday’s fourth and final showdown.

What started as a field of 4,562 entrants has been whittled down to 19 players who are all now eyeing the lion's share of the incredible €4,447,950 prize pool.

On top of the leaderboard heading to tomorrow is the Italian Umberto Ruggeri (pictured above). He carries 24,675,000 into Day 4, and that's good for 82 big blinds.

Perfect end to the day for Harris

He's followed by Irishman Greg King with 22,000,000 — who will be looking to keep the trophy on home soil on Monday — and Brandon Harris with 19,600,000. Despite ending the night in third, Harris may well be the happiest of the 19 players left in the field.

He scored a huge double up on one of the final hands of the night that saw him get his 9,700,000 stack in preflop with aces. Yuriy Boyko had kings and the board ran out eight-high, catapulting Harris into one of the overnight podium spots. The massive pot saw Boyko drop down to 18th of the 19 players, and we bet his sleep was a bit more troubled.

Brandon Harris enjoyed a dream end to Day 3, doubling with aces against kings. Brandon Harris enjoyed a dream end to Day 3, doubling with aces against kings.

Players are returning to the 150k/300k/300k level, so short-stacked Boyko and Riku Koivurinne will be under immediate pressure to attempt to spin. PokerOrg's Terrance Reid also made the final day but he's sitting just above these two with less than 10bbs.

No PokerStars ambassadors remain in the field. Parker 'Tonkaaaa' Talbot was the last to go when he fell in 43rd place after his nut flush draw missed in a multi-way, all-in pot. Steve O'Dwyer was eliminated just before Talbot in 50th, with Ari Engel falling in 53rd. All three received the same payout of €9,500.
