PokerStars has announced the return of the Player of the Year Leaderboard for their upcoming UKIPT. The Irish Poker Open, which kicks off this week, is the first tour stop for players to accrue points.

The leaderboard will run on a points-based system. Any player that cashes in an eligible event will receive points based on their finishing position and number of entries used. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers:

  • 1st Prize: £15,000 UKIPT 2024 package (£11,000 in live event credit, plus £4,000 for expenses)
  • 2nd Prize: £2,200 in 2024 live event credit
  • 3rd Prize: £1,100 in 2024 live event credit

After a few years away, the UKIPT re-launched in 2022. Highlights from the tour included a Will Kassouf High Roller victory.
