The PokerGO Tour (PGT) has unveiled the early portion of its 2025 schedule, featuring the start of what promises to be another exciting season of events. Along with familiar fan-and-player favorites, the 2025 PGT schedule will introduce two new mixed games series to the tour to broaden its range of offerings even further.
The PGT Kickoff series opens the season in January of 2025, followed soon after by the fifth iteration of the PokerGO Cup in February. After that, the mixed games crowd will take over the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas as the first-ever PGT Mixed Games festival leads right into the first-ever Super High Roller Bowl Mixed Games, which features a $100,000 buy-in.
In March, the four-card enthusiasts will take their turn as the PGT PLO Series takes center stage, followed by the seventh edition of the U.S. Poker Open in April.
“With each season, the PokerGO Tour elevates the standards of professional poker by offering players a platform to prove their skill across a diverse array of events,” said Tim Duckworth, Director of Live Events for PokerGO. “Our season-long leaderboard pushes players to excel consistently, rewarding those who can adapt, strategize, and thrive under pressure across multiple disciplines.
"By the season’s end, we’re not just crowning a tournament winner; we’re celebrating a champion who has mastered the game over an entire year of elite competition. It’s a true test of endurance and excellence that defines the best of the best in poker.”
$1,000,000 PGT Championship returns
The 2025 PGT season will conclude once again with the PGT $1,000,000 Championship. Throughout the season, players on the tour will earn valuable PGT points based on their finishes in each event. At the end of the season, the top players on the leaderboard earn entry into the freeroll event.
“We’re thrilled to announce the return of the PGT $1,000,000 Championship,” added Duckworth. “It is the ultimate finale that crowns the season’s top player. The PGT $1,000,000 Championship is the defining event in poker, where only the best compete for the honor and a $500,000 top prize. We cannot wait to follow the race all season long and see who qualifies to compete for their share of $1,000,000 in prize money.”
The ongoing race for entry into the 2024 PGT $1,000,000 Championship sees Jeremy Ausmus leading the pack with 2,789 PGT points. In second place sits Daniel Negreanu with 2,054 points, followed by Seth Davies' 1,855 points. Michael Rocco and Jesse Lonis round out the current top 5 with 1,835 and 1,819 points respectively. The top 40 finishers on the 2024 PGT Leaderboard will earn entry into the PGT Championship to take their shot at the $500,000 top prize.
