The PokerGO Tour (PGT) 2025 Season has launched with the start of the first of its tournament series offerings for the year. The PGT Kickoff offers players a five-event schedule to shake off any rust accrued over the holiday period and jumpstart the new season.
Players including Stephen Song, Patrick Leonard and Erik Seidel (pictured above) are congregating today in the PokerGO Studio for the first of four $5,000 buy-in events, all taking place over the course of the coming week and culminating with the lone $10,000 buy-in to close out the series.
As part of the incentive to play the Kickoff, players will earn double points for every cash recorded during the series. With so many crucial PGT point up for grabs, audiences can expect to see many big name players show up.
2024 PGT Player of the Year Jeremy Ausmus began his award-winning year with two cashes in last year's Kickoff series, one of which ended in fourth-place final table finish. With a solid start to the year, Ausmus built from the foundation of points earned during the Kickoff and never looked back as he rode the wave of momentum all the way to the win.
PokerGO will provide streamed final table coverage for all five events on the schedule. The action in Event #1: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em has just got started, with final table coverage airing on PokerGO on Tuesday, January 21.
