The $25,000 Super Main Event at WSOP Paradise this December carries the largest ever live poker tournament guarantee of $50,000,000. What will it take to grab a share? For some, just a single day of play.

Experienced live tourney players are used to grinding through several long days before making the money; for example, it took more than three full days of play at the summer’s WSOP Main Event for the bubble to burst.

But now, thanks to the hybrid structure of the Super Main Event - which offers the chance to play Day 1 either live or online - players have the option to reduce that grind down to a single online session. Anyone who survives the online Day 1 will automatically make Day 3, and the money.

This online route allows players to know they have made at least a min-cash before even booking their flights to the Bahamas, where WSOP Paradise takes place from December 6-19.

What’s more, GGPoker is giving each online Day 1 qualifier a package worth $20K, which includes 14 nights' accommodation and a ticket to a $1M freeroll - more on that below.

15 bracelet events will run during the festival. 15 bracelet events will run during the festival.

How does it work?

The first online Day 1 takes place on GGPoker on September 29 and will advance 15% of the field - a minimum of 30 players - directly to Day 3, live at WSOP Paradise in the Bahamas on December 17. All players who make Day 3 will be in the money.

Players not opting for the online Day 1 route will need to survive both Day 1 and Day 2 live in order to make it through to Day 3. Live Day 1s takes place in the Bahamas from December 12-15, with Day 2 on December 16.

The buy-in for the tournament, whether live or online, is $25K. Satellites are running at GGPoker now, starting at $1.

Packages include accomodation and entry to a $1M bracelet event

Those still standing at the end of the online Day 1 will not only head straight past the bubble and into the money, they’ll also receive a package from GGPoker worth $20K, comprising:

  • 14 nights’ accommodation at the Cove or Reef Suites at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas, where the series takes place
  • A seat in the Super Saver Invitational, a live bracelet event on December 18 with a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000,000
  • Complimentary meals, snacks and access to the Players’ Lounge
  • A selection of WSOP Paradise merchandise

Full details on the online Day 1 can be found at GGPoker, while the full tournament schedule for WSOP Paradise can be found here.
