The new feature-length Mike Matusow documentary has been released globally on Amazon Prime after a limited screening this summer in Las Vegas.
You can rent the two-hour-long film called Matusow now for $2.99 (or £4.49 in HD if you're in the UK).
It got the thumbs up from Phil Hellmuth, who said, "I really like it!"
Hellmuth went on to deliver the teaser for the documentary, saying, "After a tumultuous run involving drugs and high-stakes sports betting, Mike Matusow rebuilds his life, one brick at a time. Does his family support his rebirth?"
Another poker pro, Nadya Magnus, said it was a "tough" watch and perfect viewing "if you don’t want your friend/kid/loved one to get into poker and play for a living."
Mike Matusow's struggles
Matusow has won four WSOP bracelets and over $10 million in his long tournament career. His first recorded cash was back in 1996.
Christened 'The Mouth' after his verbals at the table, Matusow rode the wave of the poker boom as a Full Tilt pro and was one of the most recognizable and popular of the old-school players. His biggest scores were both for $1,000,000 and both came in 2025 – when he won the WSOP Tournament of Champions and finished 9th in the WSOP Main Event, which Joe Hachem went on to win.
However, since the Full Tilt collapse, Matusow has struggled on and off the tables, and this documentary chronicles this as he bids to get himself in the poker Hall of Fame.
When the documentary was screened in Las Vegas this summer, Matusow admitted that he was nervous. "I'm a little nervous because it's a lot of work... three years of work and I'm interested to see what people think."
You can now make up your own mind.
