With the World Series of Poker fast approaching, it’s the time of year when many online poker sites start to offer qualification routes to the Main Event.
ACR Poker is no exception, but its new Moneymaker May-Hem promo does feature a perk that few others can match: the chance to link up with Chris Moneymaker himself at the event where he first made his name — and kicked off the famous poker boom — over 20 years ago.
The victor in this month-long contest will win:
- A $10,000 seat in the WSOP Main Event
- $5,000 cash for travel and other expenses
- A meet up with Chris Moneymaker in Las Vegas
While thousands of players will compete for the title of poker’s World Champion this summer, few will do so without spending a penny. And even fewer will be able to pick the 2003 champ’s brain for advice on how to win the most prestigious title in poker.

ACR Poker’s Sunday Moneymaker tourney has run each week for the past year, the $109 entry event becoming one of the highlights of ACR Poker’s regular tournament schedule.
Four such events will run during May, and everyone who plays any of them can grab a chance to win a VIP Vegas experience.
Make the final table of any Sunday Moneymaker on May 4, 11, 18 or 25, and you’ll win a seat in a special sit & go on Sunday, June 1 at 4pm ET. The VIP package will go to the winner, with second and third-place runners-up winning a $109 Sunday Moneymaker ticket.
The deciding sit & go tournament will be livestreamed on ACR Poker’s Twitch channel.
ACR Poker ambassador and PokerOrg Player Advisory Board member Moneymaker won’t be missing the Main Event this summer, as he celebrates the anniversary of his signature online tournament.
“The Sunday Moneymaker has become something really special, and it’s been incredible to watch it grow since we launched it last year,” said Moneymaker. “This is a huge thank you to our community and every player who’s been part of this ride.
“I’m looking forward to welcoming the winner in Vegas, talking strategy, and hopefully celebrating a deep run in the Main Event together.”
