WPT Global has announced that it has joined forces with the high-end Triton Poker Series to create channels to send players to the first stop of 2025 for the Triton Poker Tour, the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series in Jeju, South Korea. The festival will be held at Landing Casino, in Jeju's stylish Shinhwa World complex.
The partnership between WPT Global and Triton will allow WPT Global players to use their existing Passport Dollars, won in online events, to enter the special WPT Global Slam event that's being held as part of the Jeju festival that begins in late February.
The WPT Global Slam is Event #6 of the 20-event Triton Jeju Festival, which Triton detailed in January. The WPT Global Slam begins at 2 pm on Sunday, March 2nd. The three-day event carries a US $25,000 entry fee.
Second Jeju edition with WPT Global as title sponsor
The 2025 Triton Jeju stop marks the return of WPT Global as the title sponsor, extending a cross-brand partnership that emerged last year at Triton's Monte Carlo stop. WPT Global's addition of the pathways to Triton using the site's Passport Dollars is expected to boost the live event's attendance.
WPT players need not win the entire $25,000 Triton seat's cost, either, as they can pay for the entry by combining both Passport Dollars and other funds from their online WPT Global accounts. At least two online tourneys offering $12,400 in Passport Dollars are held every week on WPT Global, in satellites that cost $1,060 to enter.
