With the Irish Poker Open over for another year, it seems the right time to revisit this clip of PokerOrg's very own TJ Reid showing us what it means to come from behind.
It's no secret that TJ is one hell of a tournament poker player, as evidenced by his $500,000+ in live earnings. But sometimes, even the best in the world need to luckbox their way to a double up. With just 32 players remaining from a field of 4,562 in the Irish Open Main Event, TJ shows us how it's done.
He went on to finish in 11th, just missing an appearance at the IPO Main Event final table. GG, TJ! You did us proud.
Dating in poker can be tough
If you didn't already know, PokerOrg's newest creator, Jo Kim, is dating WSOP-C record-breaker Ari Engel. That's all well and good but it feels like a disclaimer is needed because the trajectory of a poker relationship inevitably leads to relentless needles and painfully egregious slowrolls. I didn't make the rules; it's just the way things work. (Top-tier slowroll, Ari. Bravo!)
Okay, this is depressing
It's been 14 years (you read that right... 14 YEARS) since the federal government cracked down on online poker in the USA, and with the anniversary of poker's Black Friday having just passed, it feels like a good time to take a (mostly comedic) look at how online poker has evolved since then. In the last few years, sports betting has been pushed to the forefront and is everywhere, while online poker remains in a shadowy, gray area. Anytime now, government. Anytime.
