The Irish Poker Open has long been considered one of the best and most fun poker festivals anywhere in the world and as such, players from all over the globe make the trek every year looking to have pints of Guinness for breakfast and a stack of chips by lunch.
One such player, the reigning WPT World Champion, Scott Stewart (pictured above), found himself all-in on the stone bubble of one event and decided to cover all his bases by wishing his opponent a bit of good luck before the runout... just in case.
Our very own TJ Reid was on the ground to catch the heart-warming moment as one of the nicest and most beloved personalities in poker let the table know exactly how he really felt.
Can't a guy have a hobby?!
I've been at the Daytona Racing and Card Club stop for the Moneymaker Tour Main Event this past week and I couldn't help but feel a bit of compassion for our community members who catch flack for grinding poker a totally reasonable six to seven days a week.
I mean, what, a guy can't have a hobby these days? Geez.
Seriously, try harder...
Late on Day 1c of the $1,500 Moneymaker Tour Main Event here in Daytona, Florida, Sam Sternfield was in a giving mood and offered up some sincere advice to David Nathaniel at the next table over. It was a really moving scene to watch as, typically, one player doesn't go out of their way to help another win. But Sam Sternfield is not your typical player.
It's a touching moment.
