The Triton Poker Series returns to Jeju, Korea from Wednesday February 26, with a schedule of 20 events running through to March 15.

The cheapest tournament buy-ins across the series start from $15,000, stretching up to an eye-watering $150,000 for those with the will, skill and the bankrolls to play that high. The marquee Main Event, which starts on March 7, comes with a price tag of $100,000. Your local bar poker league, this ain’t.

But that’s what makes Triton’s brand of high rolling, high quality poker so exciting, both for the jet-setting folks who pull up seats in these events, and those of us watching at home. Firing up the live streams on Triton’s YouTube or Twitch channels, we know we’re very likely to see the cream of the crop of today’s poker talent.

The action from the Landing Casino, Jeju kicks off tomorrow at 2pm local time, and the cogs of the hype machine are turning.

Big names, big prizes, short levels

Amid recent debate about the length of poker tournaments, Triton events keep things moving briskly with levels that never extend beyond 50 minutes, and trend closer to 25-30 minutes. And those aren’t considered to be a turbo structure - you’ll get 20 minutes play per level in the one turbo-branded event on the schedule, the single-day $50K NLH Turbo Bounty Quattro on March 6.

With so much of the action available to view for free, it’s worth picking out a few highlights of the schedule ahead of time:

  • February 28 sees the first final table of the series, in the $15K NLH 8-Handed event.
  • The $25K WPT Global Slam final table is on March 4, and with the event likely to feature WPT Global brand ambassadors this could be an opportunity to watch the likes of Phil Ivey do his thing.
  • The final table of the $150K NLH 8-Handed event is scheduled for March 7, where huge money will be on the line.
  • The $100K NLH Main Event runs March 7-9, with the $100K PLO Main Event following from March 11-12.
  • Events from March 9 onwards will focus on PLO and Short Deck.

Last year’s record-breaking Triton Jeju saw the series' largest Main Event to date, as well as trophies heading home with some of the biggest names in the game.

Stephen Chidwick (3rd on the all-time money list), Mikita Badziakouski (5th), Dan Smith (6th), Adrian Mateos (8th), and Fedor Holz (10th) all added to their ever-growing tournament earnings with victories in last year’s series. The Main Event title went to the Czech Republic’s Roman Hrabec, who took the $4.3M first prize after a dominating final table performance.

You can watch extended highlights of the 2024 Main Event final table below.

We’re looking forward to seeing some fascinating match-ups featuring high-caliber players such as this when play begins tomorrow.

Cards are in the air in event number one - $15K NLH 8-Handed - from 2pm local time on February 26.
