PokerStars has announced a brand-new leaderboard component to accompany its 2025 European live events schedule.
The PokerStars Live League will award more than €150,000 in tournament buy-ins, but the true prize comes for the top 30 finishers, each of whom will have the opportunity to audition to become a PokerStars Team Pro for a year.
The one-year ambassador role – a deal valued at €100,000 – will see one lucky player represent PokerStars and travel the world to attend live events in incredible locations.
Through the PokerStars Live League, all players who compete in European PokerStars tournaments can accumulate points across three different leaderboard tiers based on buy-in level to win more tournament buy-ins for next year's slate of PokerStars events.
Players will earn leaderboard points regardless of whether or not they cash in the event. For players who do finish in the money, point totals will be calculated based on the Global Poker Index points rankings. If you bust from a tournament without making the money, you will receive points equivalent to 20% of the minimum cash points.
Three leaderboard tiers with big prizes
The three leaderboard tiers – Low, Medium, and High – offer up their own rewards for the top three finishers.
- High (Events with buy-ins over €/£/$5,000)
- First Place: 4 EPT Main Event and 4 EPT High Roller buy-ins
- Second Place: 4 EPT Main Event buy-ins
- Third Place: 2 EPT Main Event buy-ins
- Medium (Events with buy-ins from €/£/$1,000 to €/£/$4,999)
- First Place: 4 EPT Main Event and 4 PS Open Main Event buy-ins
- Second Place: 6 PS Open Main Event buy-ins
- Third Place: 3 PS Open Main Event buy-ins

In addition to the prizes for the top three finishers, the top ten finishers in each tier will earn the chance to audition for a one-year role as a part of PokerStars Team Pro. Over the course of the PokerStars Live League, players can track their own progress – and that of their rivals – on each leaderboard through the PokerStars Live app.
For North American-based PokerStars players afraid of missing out on the action, the 'Catchin' Caitlin' freeroll offers the chance at a $12K EPT Gold Pass – an into playing at the EPT Monte Carlo stop to start accumulating leaderboard points.
“We’re really excited to bring PokerStars Live League to our player offering,” said Willie Elliot, Live Events Customer Engagement Manager. “Players have the opportunity to compete across a variety of different buy-in levels to win €150,000 in live event tickets, with three winners crowned.”
"Not only that, one winner will become a PokerStars ambassador, winning themselves a one-year deal worth a huge €100,000 - a dream for many poker players. The winner of the PokerStars ambassador role will travel across the globe wearing the iconic patch, attend the best live events in incredible locations, and play for millions in prize money alongside the best players in the world.”
