Season 2 of PokerStars' hit show The Big Game on Tour will debut on May 24, with the first of the new slate of episodes premiering on PokerStars' YouTube channel, bringing fans another round of high-stakes, star-studded poker action.
The five main episodes from Season 2 will also be shown on Fox Sports 1 two weeks after appearing on YouTube.
Following the return of the show in 2024, after a 13-year hiatus, The Big Game on Tour will once again feature a mix of elite players and, of course, the Loose Cannon. Season 1 of The Big Game on Tour featured Loose Cannons Nikki Limo and Lily Newhouse taking on seasoned players like Phil Hellmuth, Alan Keating, Lex Veldhuis, Arden Cho, and Jennifer Tilly.
While the Loose Cannons for Season 2 have yet to be revealed, PokerStars has announced the names of the players they will have to face:
- Gerard Pique, football superstar and World Cup winner
- Jennifer Tilly, award-winning actress and poker pro
- Andre Akkari, PokerStars Ambassador
- Sam Grafton, super high roller and PokerStars Ambassador
- Griffin Benger, Shark Cage Champion and PokerStars commentator
Loose Cannon auditions unveiled
The Big Game on Tour Season 2 will follow the same format as last year. The Loose Cannon will receive a $50,000 staked buy-in and, over the course of 150 hands, will keep any profit they manage to accumulate.
In addition to the launch of Season 2 on May 24, PokerStars plans to release the audition tapes for the Loose Cannon role. The special bonus episode will air May 17 and showcase the Loose Cannon hopefuls as they vie for a seat at the table.
“The Big Game is what everyone loves about poker, combining the dream of playing for incredibly high stakes with the same atmosphere of your local home game,” said PokerStars Ambassador, Joe Stapleton. “That vibe translates to the audience at home who get to put themselves in the shoes of David versus Goliath versus Goliath versus Goliath versus Goliath (you get the idea) while living out an experience you cannot put a price on. The new season promises more of the same and some!”
