The return of WSOP Paradise this December has already grabbed the attention of players around the world, in particular due to the unprecedented $50,000,000 guaranteed prize pool attached to the 'Super Main Event' - the $25,000 No-Limit Hold'em Championship.

Running from December 6-19 at Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas, the series will also feature a new tournament with an eye-watering buy-in and an unexpected name: the Triton Millions will kick off on December 7, with a $500,000 buy-in.

And this partnership between GGPoker, the world's largest online poker room, and the prestigious Triton Series, known for it's high roller events, is not the only unexpected twist.

Invite only... plus one

15 bracelet events will run during the festival. 15 bracelet events will run during the festival.

The upcoming Triton Millions will not be an open event, but instead will be split between invited players and professionals. Invited players are expected to include amateur poker enthusiasts with backgrounds in business and/or entertainment, while for pros to take part they will need to be the guest of an invited player. So in case you're wondering where Daniel Negreanu gets that figure of $1M in the video below, each pair of players will be contributing $1 million to the prize pool between them.

Each invitee may bring only one guest, so if you're a poker pro with half a million dollars to spend, and fancy some winter sun and super high-stakes poker action in the Caribbean, it's time to start schmoozing.

And if all that sounds a little beyond your bankroll, don't worry: GGPoker will once again be offering 'Road to Paradise' online qualifiers and promotions to send players of all levels to WSOP Paradise. Details of these promotions are expected to be announced soon, with the overall event schedule for tournament series to follow later this year.

"To showcase the Triton Series in the Bahamas for the first time [marks] a significant milestone in our journey," said Triton Series CEO Andy Wong, "This event brings us closer to North America, expanding our reach and allowing more poker enthusiasts to experience our unrivalled high-stakes format."
