The final 47 players are on to Day 4 of the €10,350 Main Event at WSOP Europe and Rachid El Yaacoubi has the top stack for Tuesday's sprint to the final table after a day that saw Shaun Deeb fight back from 2 BB to the 12th biggest stack for the penultimate day.
El Yaacoubi leads a field that started Day 3 with 185 players who eyed one of 116 paying spots from the prize pool of €7,219,200. The French player has $700K in career earnings with a previous high score of $118K — one he can beat with a finish of eighth or better. All returning players are guaranteed at least €30,300 for their Day 4 effort and they are playing for a €1.3 million top prize.
Other players in the top ten include Italy's Andrea Ricci in second and Georgia's Alberti Sanaia in third. Daniel Rezaei ended with the fourth-highest stack and Anson Tsang finished with a share of 10th place. Other notables further down the list include Dietrich Fast, David Dongwoo Ko, Simone Andrian, and Day 2 chip leader Sirzat Hissou, who ended the day with 790K in the 40K big blind level.
Deeb a hard target
Deeb entered Day 3 on the lower half of the leaderboard but he made his way through the money bubble to secure a min-cash of €20,900. Not long after the bubble burst, Deeb had less than two big blinds and one foot out the door.
The six-time bracelet winner fought back and scooped up a healthy stack in a matter of hands before he finished the day in the 12th spot on the leaderboard with 2.3 million and nearly 60 big blinds. He will start Day 4 with the biggest stack at his table and the nearest competitor, Mariusz Golinski, to his left.
El Yaacoubi leads buzzsaw table
The chip leader will bring more than 103 big blinds back on Tuesday and he will contend with several of the other biggest stacks from Seat 3 at Table 37. The aforementioned Tsang sits down in Seat 1 with 61 big blinds and Enrico Camosci will sit to El Yaacoubi's left with 36. Camosci is an online crusher from Italy who has already had a great WSOPE in 2024 with a fourth-place finish in the €50K Diamond High Roller for €159K. Also at El Yaacoubi's table are Michael Dick with 65 big blinds and second-ranked Ricci with 75.
The final 47 players will return on Tuesday at noon local Rozvadov time in Level 22 with blinds at 20K/40K/40K. The next pay jump to €34,700 comes with 39 players remaining. Tuesday's action will continue until a final table is reached for Wednesday's finale.
