New Jersey native Dan Zack added a PokerGO Tour title to his impressive list of poker accomplishments on Sunday night. Zack topped a 61-entry field in Event #4 of the PGT's ongoing Mixed Games series, $10,200 8-Game, to add his name to the roster of PGT event champions.
Zack bounced back from the brink of elimination during three-handed play before going on a late rush to secure his first PGT win. Zack, a three-time WSOP bracelet winner and the WSOP's 2022 Player of the Year, earned $195,200 with the win, moving his career earnings in recorded live tournaments to just shy of $3.6 million.
The win also moved Zack into second place on the PGT Mixed Games leaderboard, just behind Event #3 winner Mori Eskandani.
Late surge sealed Event #4 victory
Zack was down to just three big blinds before riding his heater to the win. After climbing back from the brink, he eliminated start-of-day leader Dylan Weisman, then finished off his final challenger, Jim Collopy, to seize the trophy and the big payday.
Joshua Rhodes, Mike Gorodinsky, Chris Vitch, and PGT Mixed Games Event #2 winner John Hennigan rounded out the final-table finishers. Overall, the 61 paid entries created a $610,000 prize pool, with the final nine players making the money. Andres Korn (eighth) and Phil Hellmuth (ninth) missed the final table but secured cashes in the event.
