They say relationships are about compromise and $25K High Roller final tables are no exception after Cherish Andrews picked up the win on Tuesday in a four-way deal that included her partner Brock Wilson.
The win in the $25K Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown High Roller netted the 2024 GPI Female Player of the Year over $408K and a second Seminole trophy. Andrews scored the biggest chunk of the prize pool after entering four-handed play with the largest stack. In all, Andrews and Wilson took home over $700K from a $1.7 million prize pool with 70 entries that blew the $1M guarantee out of the water.
Players cut deal to jump in $5K
According to the Seminole Hard Rock live updates, the deal went down shortly after Kevin Rabichow hit the door in fifth place. The clock was ticking on registration for the $5K Deep Stack and Andrews held the biggest stack with 135 big blinds.
Frank Brannan, who held 96 big blinds at the time of the deal, accepted $342K for second place, and Wilson, who had 77 big blinds, took $313K for third. Clemen Deng was the short stack with 44 big blinds, but a deep final four would have locked everyone out of the $5K and a deal was made.
The six-figure prize and new high score put Andrews at just over $3.3 million in career earnings, according to The Hendon Mob, and it's her first victory in an event with a buy-in of over $2,200.
