The Asian Poker Tour is returning to Taipei for the first of four stops on a 2025 tour with over $5.4 million in guaranteed prize pools from April 25 through May 4 at the Red Space venue in Point Center.
An eye-popping 126 satellites and tournaments will cram into 10 days of action, culminating in a Main Event with over $2 million guaranteed. A third consecutive year of record-breaking fields is expected throughout the schedule.
Two other signature tournaments are featured on the schedule, with the APT National Cup and the Zodiac Classic joining the Main Event in a special promotion that will give away three seats for the winner of each to the APT's largest-ever $5M Main Event at the season-ending APT Championship.
Three signature events
The APT Main Event will run from Sunday, April 27 to Saturday, May 3. A TWD 55,000 buy-in (~$1,680) will gain entry into the TWD 70 million guarantee, which works out to over $2 million in US dollars. The field is expected to tip over 1,000 for the third time since the launch of APT's New Era in 2023. Rene von Reden won last year's contest over a field of 1,991 for over $454K. Four opening flights are on offer with registration open until Day 2.
APT's National Cup runs on April 25 and 26, with a bargain buy-in of TWD 12,000, or around $370 USD. The regular opening event of the series is also expected to draw a big field after Ka Chun Yuan beat 2,305 entries last year for over $71K. Three opening flights will play out on April 25 with surviving players returning the next day in the money to play down to a winner.
The APT National Cup will be followed by the third signature event, the TWD 80,000 (~$2,440) Zodiac Classic, sponsored by Natural 8. It's the largest guarantee on the schedule after the Main Event, with TWD 20 Million in the prize pool — over $600K.
The rest of the packed schedule includes a Super High Roller, a Mystery Bounty, and the APT High Roller with a TWO 110,000 buy-in (~$335K).
