The first 2025 stop for the Asian Poker Tour includes a Main Event with a seven-figure USD guarantee, as well as daily women's events and several tournaments with unique poker formats.
The APT Manila Classic Philippines runs February 7-16 at the Crown Plaza Manila Galleria in partnership with the Metro Card Club. Tournament buy-ins range from PHP 25,000 (~USD 425) to PHP 1.5 million (~USD 25,500).
The series Main Event plays out February 9-15, with four opening-day flights and late registration available up until the beginning of Day 2 on February 12. The tournament features a PHP 60,000 (~USD 1,000) buy-in and a PHP 60,000,000 (~USD 1 million) guaranteed prize pool.
The series features several different poker formats outside of standard No-Limit Hold'em. Those formats include mixed-game events, mystery bounties, team events, double board PLO, Super Hold'em, and several other unique spins on tournament play.
Daily women's events on the APT Manila schedule
The APT Manila Classic features a women's event for each day of the 10-day series. Included in this slate is the APT Women's Championship.
The APT Women's Championship runs on February 12 and features a 30,000 (~USD 509) buy-in. The Women's Championship and the schedule of daily women's events are both new additions to the APT.
"Make no mistake; the women’s game is growing in Asia," says APT's Matthew Ooi. "As the biggest poker tour in Asia, the APT is seeing more and more women taking to the felt at every tour stop. In 2024, a total of 560 of APT’s tournament players were female, representing 8.6% of the tour’s players in 2024 – double the industry average of around 4%.
"Feedback on the tour’s Women’s Event has been extremely positive, with participants praising the friendly environment and fun atmosphere as reasons for participating."
