888poker has announced details of the first stop in its popular United Kingdom Poker League (UKPL) in 2025. As part of the overall 888poker LIVE schedule, the action in the UKPL will kick off with a stop in Portsmouth, UK, January 21-26.
After ringing in the New Year in Portsmouth, the UKPL will continue throughout the year with stops in Newcastle, Reading South, Edinburgh, and Liverpool before the Grand Finale in Coventry.
The majority of the international stops for 2025 have also been announced, with 888Live events confirmed for Madrid, Glasgow, Barcelona and London. A fifth 'mystery' international event will take place, with details still to be revealed. The Main Event at each UKPL stop comes at the same price point of £560, and you can earn your way into any of them via low-cost online satellites, from as little as $0.01, on the 888poker virtual felt, including £55 direct satellites.
The points accumulated by each player in the UKPL will also count towards their overall tally in the National Poker League. At the end of the season, hundreds of players will earn prizes, with a top prize of a £75,000 sponsorship package.
This year's top finisher in the National Poker League – Matthew Davenport – laid claim to the prestigious top spot and secured himself a £75,000 Sponsorship Package, along with the 2024 Grosvenor Casino Player of the Year Trophy.
