Saturday, July 2nd. 2022 WSOP Days #27-33.
Another week, another fifteen bracelets awarded to another sixteen bracelet winners (Patrick Leonard and Espen Jørstad get joint custody of the tag-team bracelet).
It was a week of big names. Alex Foxen won his first bracelet in the small-field $250k and Dan Cates won the $50,000 Poker Player's Championship. There were two more online bracelets doled out as well.
The biggest stories of the week were all follow ups to the Ladies' Event where a player was caught introducing dodgy chips, streaming celebrity Nemo Zhou was spotted, and Haley Hintze caught up with a player whose life was literally saved by a poker game (see "Recent Coverage" below for links).
It was a week of changes for Poker.Org. Our website showed off a new facelift as our new owner, Triple Barrel Media, introduced itself to the poker world. We also launched our Voice of the Pros series with a video from Daniel Negreanu. In the video, Negreanu calls for more emotion and personality from players.
You can catch up on the headlines below.
