Late July means it's Venom time at ACR Poker, and the latest edition of the Venom, with a $10 million prize-pool guarantee, gets underway on Thursday, July 20, 2023 with the first of five Day 1 flights. The final table of the $2,650 Venom will be held on Wednesday, August 2, and the winner will earn at least $1 million in guaranteed prize money.
"Last summer our Venom had a $10,042,500 prize pool and we’re looking for another huge turnout again this time,” said ACR pro Chris Moneymaker. “And remember, the winner this year will walk away with at least $1,000,000.”
Action begins at 1:05 pm Eastern time for each of the five starting flights, which are spread through late July. The complete schedule by day and with starting time is as follows:
- Day 1A – Thursday, July 20th at 1:05 pm ET
- Day 1B – Sunday, July 23rd at 1:05 pm ET
- Day 1C – Thursday, July 27th at 1:05 pm ET
- Day 1D – Saturday, July 29th at 1:05 pm ET
- Day 1E – Sunday, July 30th at 1:05 pm ET
- Day 2 – Monday, July 31st at 1:05 pm ET (approximately 11 hours of play)
- Day 3 – Tuesday, August 1st at 1:05 pm ET (plays down to final table)
- Day 4 – Wednesday, August 2nd at 4:05 pm ET (final table)
As always, there will be plenty of options for players to satellite into the Venom, including Blitz Satellites and Step tournaments. Hundreds of $2,650 seats will also be awarded through a special "Venom Fever" satellite extravaganza already up and running at ACR, which just recently changed its name from its long-time moniker, Americas Cardroom.
