That's a Wrap!

Another full day of poker at the WSOP Circuit in Las Vegas is in the books, with three more players claiming Circuit rings and multiple events setting up for exciting conclusions tomorrow.

Mark Fisher Wins Third Ring in OE Event

Mark Fisher secured his third WSOP Circuit ring with an impressive victory in Event #8: $600 Omaha Eight or Better/Stud Eight or Better (OE). The tournament drew 109 entries, generating a $56,135 prize pool, and Fisher walked away with the $14,702 top prize.

His path to victory wasn’t easy, as he had to overcome Ari Engel, the all-time WSOP Circuit ring leader with 19 titles, in heads-up play. Engel was chasing ring #20 but had to settle for $9,503 as the runner-up—something few players have managed to force.

Lozano Arnau Takes Down the Monster Stack

Alfonso Alejo Lozano Arnau is now a WSOP Circuit champion after winning Event #5: $600 No-Limit Hold’em Monster Stack. The event drew 434 entries, creating a $362,560 prize pool, and Lozano Arnau locked up his first Circuit title and the $61,265 first-place prize.

Lozano Arnau dedicated the win to his grandmother, who passed away two months ago. He came into heads-up play with a significant chip lead over Brandon Sunshine and secured the victory in just three hands when his Ace-Ten outdrew Sunshine’s pocket fours.

High Roller Field Narrows to 22 Players

Day 1 of the $2,200 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller wrapped up after 12 levels, leaving 22 players still in contention. With 92 entries so far, registration remains open until the start of Day 2, meaning the final prize pool is still to be determined.

Daniel Moran leads the pack after bagging 346,500 chips, looking to add another WSOP Circuit High Roller ring to his collection after winning a similar event last year. Right behind him is WSOP bracelet winner Shannon Shorr (272,000), followed by Neil Warren (255,000).

The remaining players return at 1 PM to battle for the ring and a big payday.

Seniors Event Down to 20 Players

The $600 Seniors No-Limit Hold’em event drew 293 entries and a $150,895 prize pool, and after 20 levels, only 20 players remain.

William Stanton leads the field heading into Day 2 with 1,170,000 chips, followed by Rick Whitesell (1,005,000) and Nick Coukos (820,000). The final day begins at Noon, where they’ll battle for the $32,560 first-place prize and a Circuit ring.

Ladies Event Bags 10 Players

The $300 No-Limit Hold’em Ladies Event drew 177 entries, generating a $42,480 prize pool. Only the final table of 10 players remain, and they’ve already secured at least $730, but all eyes are on the $10,189 first-place prize and the circuit ring.

Tammy Ehrhart bagged the chip lead with 699,000, followed closely by Stephanie Hagberg (677,000) and Louie F (457,000). The final 10 players return at 1 PM to crown a champion.
