After over a year of anticipation, the Hustler Casino Live poker show finally has a launch date set. Hustler Casino Live, which was originally announced in 2020 and has been postponed multiple times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will debut on Tuesday, August 3rd at 5 p.m. PST.
Former “Live at the Bike” producer Ryan Feldman and local poker player and entrepreneur Nick Vertucci will host the show. Hustler Casino Live is scheduled to stream live poker every weekday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. PST. All episodes will be free to watch both live and on demand through archives on the Hustler Casino Live Youtube Channel.
The unedited and unscripted poker show will have a rotating roster of poker players and surprise guests, both at the tables and in the commentator booth. The stakes will range on a night-to-night basis from as small as $5/$5/$10 No Limit Hold’em to blinds as high as $50/$100 or more. Popular “Live at the Bike” regulars like Garrett Adelstein and Andy Stacks Poker were mentioned by Feldman and Vertucci as players that will be seen on Hustler Casino Live.
The Hustler Casino spent nearly $1 million building the set for Hustler Casino Live where the casino’s high-limit Crystal Room used to be. The casino’s general manager Shaun Yaple believes that Ryan Feldman and Nick Vertucci were the perfect team to bring this project together.
“We have thought about producing a high-quality all cash poker livestream for several years, but were waiting for the right opportunity,” Yaple stated in a press release about the show. “The stars aligned when we began discussions with Ryan Feldman and Nick Vertucci. They are the absolute best partners and share our goal of providing a top-quality product for poker fans around the globe”, he shared.
Hustler Casino Live is taking measures to protect the integrity of the game
Live poker streams took a major public relations hit from the widely covered Mike Postle cheating scandal that took place at Stones Gambling Hall during live-broadcasted events in 2018 and 2019. Postle has been widely accused of using his cell phone to receive information about his opponents’ hands during these live events.
Ryan Feldman has made it clear in his comments to the press that strict measures are being taken to make sure nothing like that occurs on this show. Players and members of the production team will not be allowed to wear smartwatches or non-prescription sunglasses during the broadcast. These devices, along with cell phones, will be locked away in a secure location during filming.
The show will also be broadcast on a 30-minute time delay to provide an extra layer of security. Hustler Casino Live should help fill the entertainment void that poker fans will be dealing with as the 2021 World Series of Poker Online Series and its coverage wraps up this weekend.
