$1 million guaranteed Main Event highlights festival runs May 20-June 6
The Houston poker community received the long-awaited details for the upcoming Prime Social Summer Series.
Prime Social Tournament Director Justin Hammer took to Twitter on Saturday and dropped the full schedule for the Prime Social Summer Series. Houston’s booming live poker tournament scene adds another $1 million Main Event to its short history during the series, which runs May 20 through June 6 at Prime Social poker club in Houston, TX.
The $1,100 buy-in Main Event runs June 2-6 and will play out as the second $1 million guaranteed poker tournament in Texas poker history.

Massive Main Event highlights Prime Social Summer Series slate
The Prime Social Summer Series culminates in an $1,100 buy-in, $1 million guaranteed Main Event. The Main Event features four starting flights, one running per day June 2-5. The survivors of those four Day 1 flights then come back as a combined field on June 6 and play down to a champion.
Hammer brings back the Main Event structure from the highly successful Prime Signature Series, which ran at the social poker club in February. The line for registration went out the door for Day 1D, as Prime Social packed the tables for the Prime Signature Series Main Event.
The February series also featured an $1,100 Main Event, which offered a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool. Big attendance pushed the final prize pool to $1,079,000, with the Main Event drawing 1,079 entries.
Hammer and Prime Social doubled the guarantee for the Prime Summer Series Main Event. The tournament will play as the second $1 million guaranteed poker tournament in the history of Texas’ poker clubs, following next week’s Lone Star Poker Series $1 million guaranteed Main Event at Champions Social.
Hammer provided additional details for the Prime Social Summer Series in his Saturday tweet:
“I present to you, the Prime Summer Series @PrimeSocialTX. Over $1.8 million in guarantees including a 4 flight, $1,100 buy in, $1 million GTE Main Event (6/2-6/6). Live-steamed FTs and a $25k added Player of the Series,” Hammer wrote.
“If y’all were waiting to check out Houston poker, it’s time.”
The Main Event likely won’t be the only Prime Summer Social Series event to draw big numbers. The series begins with the $360 buy-in No-Limit Kickoff, offering a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool.
The No-Limit Kickoff structure features six opening flights, two per day from May 20-22. All surviving players then come back Sunday, May 23, and play down to a champion.
Other major events on the schedule include the No-Limit HTOWN 2 event (May 27-30), which plays as a $600 buy-in, $300,000 guaranteed tournament.
Pot-Limit Omaha players can compete for big money in the $1,100 buy-in, $100,000 guaranteed PLO Championship, which runs May 30 through June 1.
